Bio
A native of the Chesapeake Bay area of Maryland for 27 years, Loveless eventually settled in Marlow, OK in 1974. She was introduced to the art of drawing and painting in various forms and has been actively working ever since. After raising her children, it became a more serious desire to paint and study the wide concept involving the development of a good painting.
Janet's education has been from a variety of local, state, and private classes and workshops studying under some fantastic, professional instructors i.e. Leonard Wren, Jim Wilcox, Chris Morel, David Wade, Gay Faulkenberry, working in various mediums from pen and ink, pastel, watercolor, and oil. Her professional medium is oil.
With varying style and technique, she shared her opportunity in art for 20 years of classes with young students from 5th grade through high
school, and also some adult classes along the way. It was such a treat to be allowed to inspire young people to see through new eyes and actually learn to appreciate color and art concept that surround them in our everyday world. Several of her former students have gone on to major in art of various forms.
"I find arts, especially painting, a great direction for many youth who have been saturated by the world of technology and want to tap into their natural creative senses through the appreciation of art."
